“Bonse Aba” is a traditional gospel from Zambia in the Bembe language. It is based on the biblical phrase: “All those who have received Him have the right to be called children of God.” John 1:12.
The song was arranged for chorus in 2004 by Andrew Fischer, who learned it during his trip to Zambia. According to his testimony, the song is six verses longer than the version known in the west.
Due to its cheerful and uplifting spirit, the song has become a favourite for choruses and vocal ensembles around the world. It is easy to be sung by all voices, male, female and children, in multiple combinations.
